Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities: 

• To Lead the End-to-End HSRP SBU Vertical FP&A function & all the Transport Department related projects and partner with the Board of Directors.

• To manage and improve organization's financial performance and direct the SBU’s accounting operations.

• Duties for the financial controller will include managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, analysing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue, coordinating auditing processes, and ensuring accuracy of financial information.

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting (from RM purchased till FG goods delivered in the entire product life-cycle) and Revenue Recognition

• Oversee Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable and ensure a disaster recovery plan is in place.

• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances

• Prepare and publish timely Monthly Financial Statements, MIS, Budgeting, Forecasting, Competition Benchmarking, Variance Analysis, Dashboard Preparation

• Continuously monitor financial and business KPIs, highlights trends, and analyse causes of unexpected variance

• Analyse financial data and create financial models for decision support

• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting

• Preparation & filing of all annual financial statements in accordance with all the applicable statutory requirements including the MCA/RoC requirements • Ensure adequate positive cash flow to meet the SBU's needs

• Oversee the maintenance of the inventory of all fixed assets, including assets purchased to ensure all are in accordance with statutory guidelines

• Preparation of yearly valuation reports for investments, capital gain statements and supporting and Finalize books of accounts

• Demonstrates continuous improvement of business processes which are lean and cost optimisation

• Research technical accounting issues for compliance

• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process

Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and all applicable tax filings

• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls - Developing, Reviewing & Monitoring internal controls; checks & balances

• Support trading team by carrying out necessary finance related trade support functions. E.g., KYC, counterparty engagement and follow up, etc.

• Preparing financial reports

• Analysing financial data.

• Overseeing and preparing income statements.

• Participating in budgeting processes.

• Managing financial transactions.

• Streamlining accounting functions and operations.

• Developing plans for financial growth. • Evaluating and managing risk.

• Coordinating audit processes & any Group Structural Exercise undertaken with internal/external services

• Participation in finance related projects, hereunder implementation of the new ERP System (EPICOR) and drive automation initiatives building continuous improvements culture. • ERP fully functional and implemented for all HSRP Companies. • Process mapping and dependency on system vs Manpower

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

• Thorough knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Indian GAAP) – IFRS would be an added advantage

• Excellent strategic planning knowledge & exceptional numeric proficiency.

• Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company

• Exceptional People management skills & interpersonal relationship (results driven & people oriented)

• Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills


• Qualified CA / Post Graduate in Finance

• Relevant work experience of 8 years plus in FP&A and Managing teams

• Experience of working with a MNC /multi–location operations / matrix environment would be preferred.
